Juggling

I always new that most women were good or even great at multi-tasking. It is simply amazing the way a woman can iron her clothes, brush her teeth and talk on the phone at the same time. I love this!!! I think it is fabulous because(no offense to some men out there)some men, meaning my hubby, cannot even hold a conversation while picking out his clothes. It really make me laugh!!! Well anyway the point I am trying to make is that women are truly superior when it comes to the ability to conquer more than one duty. I need to remind myself of this every time I am feeling frustrated with the amount of work that I have in front of me. I need to learn to let it go!!

I am currently holding a full time job in sales, I have 3 children that have lives that need attention, like meals to be made, and sports many nights a week, tuck ins, and books to be read, homework to be done. Now I also have PTO once a month, This is only once a month but still a responsibility that I need to do because I enjoy doing it. I also spend a lot of time on the net researching my business and my full time job, getting advice on parenting and marriage. My hubby gets soooo annoyed that I spend so much time on the net. I am only able to do this in between jobs and when my kids are in school or in bed.

All these things that I undertake in a course of day brings me to the conclusion that I need this busy schedule. Without it I would be bored. I do have a lot of energy. I very much enjoy going for walks and do some kind of workout, be it on t.v. for 20 minutes or squeezing in the gym with my family, after karate and before dinner.

I do feel like I have certain expertise in time management skills. My advice to all those that say there is no time, or I can't do it, or I am tired, or whatever else it is that you prefer to say to avoid the task at hand:

1. Just do it. Famous from Nike, but guess what it works. You do it anyway and then your glad you did.

2. Stop taking so many breaks in your day. There are only so many hours in the day. If you spent more time doing the things you need or should get done then realize how much more productive your day could be.

3. Get up earlier. If you like sleep so much then try to go to bed earlier. If that is not an option then just try and train your body to function on less sleep. But you ideally should be getting at least 8 hrs. a night in. This is just for overall good health. If you need to stay up later one night, then make up for the lack of sleep another night in that week. Which leads me to point number 4

4. Keep yourself healthy!! This is crucial for life. When you fuel your body with the right foods and hydration you feel better and have more energy to do the things you need to do. Exercise. Come on, we all can do this. There is no excuse! Go for a walk, do some knee bends in your living room and squats during commercials. You will feel the pain but it is a good pain...and you know it. Get off the couch and move you will be in bed soon and a new day will start. Make the most out of today. Stretch that body, feel your limbs. Take deep breathes.

5. Enjoy the small details in life. Look at the trees and breathe the clean air. Appreciate all that you have and really take a few moments, every single day to do this. It is amazing how much better you will feel. You will feel more complete when you do this. Smile, laugh out loud and allow yourself to cry with the Biggest Loser contestants who go home.

Well those are most of my tips for making the most out of your day. If you have any tips that you want to share, feel free to post them. I would love to hear what you do to make the most out of your day.
O.k I need to eat and stretch!!
